The new BMW M6 is the new M flagship. Intelligent lightweight design for high power-to-weight ratio

- CFRP (Carbon-fibre-reinforced roof): This special material makes up the roof of the BMW M6. Compared to a regular roof, it reduces weight by 50%, and lowers vehicle center of gravity, which allows for greater agility. Carbon-fibre-reinforcements are also used for the lightweight bumper supports.
- Lightweight aluminium front section.

Advanced engineering: the Sequential M Gearbox with Drivelogic
The new BMW M6 features the seven-speed Sequential M Gearbox (SMG Drivelogic), which has its origins in motor sports. With its extremely fast gearshift times it enables an active and dynamic driving experience. Gears can be changed via the paddles on the M sports steering wheel, or using the selector lever on the center console

The new BMW M6 delivers superior performance, with a level of agility usually only found on the track in dedicated race cars:

- Top speed: 155 mph (electronically limited).
- All-aluminium suspension with double-joint spring strut front suspension and integral link rear suspension.
- Electronic Damper Control (EDC) with three programs – “ Normal”, “Comfort” and “Sport”.
Unique: Individual driving dynamics at the touch of a button
While drivers of high-performance sports coupes made by our competitors have next to no opportunity to adapt their cars to their individual style of motoring, the BMW M6 with MDrive shows itself to be a breed apart once more. MDrive is an iDrive function which enables each driver to individually configure a wide range of BMW M6 driving systems for a more personal vehicle setup. Whether the emphasis is on a comfortable ride or an extremely sporty drive is completely up to the individual driver. After configured to the drivers taste, t he desired settings can then be stored and activated by one simple press of a button on the steering wheel. The MDrive options for the BMW M6 include SMG Drivelogic EDC settings, DSC with MDynamic mode, and the optional head-up display with M display among others.
